Experienced cosmetic surgeons are finding the new dissolvable Endotine devices very useful adjuncts to conventional facelift surgery. 

There are several types of devices depending upon the area to be lifted but the overall theory is the same.  Endotine ribbons are strips of dissolvable material with tiny barbs along their surface, which are passed under the skin and drawn backwards.  These lift back the tissue and are secured with sutures positioned in the hairline.  The lifted skin and tissue anchors itself naturally into place over at least six months whilst the device dissolves to give a natural contour.

Endotine Neck Ribbons are used to define the lower face and neck, reducing jowls and sagging skin for a natural result. They can be placed using a small incision or as part of a full face/necklift.
